I agree. At this rate we might be lucky enough to do as well as Brighton.
Shows just how far we have come dosnt it - that we can dream of competing with the Manchetser United of the south coast

I find it hard to believe that having had an offer accepted by Celtic and the deal dragging on for weeks, that we haven't already agreed terms with the players - you don't get this far without having sorted all that stuff out.

No. By doing it the normal way, you get your bid accepted before agreeing terms. Only big teams bend the rules by agreeing terms with the players agent, then asking said player to play up by demanding a move, forcing the teams to try and agree a price.

Caddis will prove to be better hes a terrific player, really can't believe we are getting them at that price, its an absolute bargain.

There are bound to be sell on and possible promotion clauses, we do need to sell players to keep our books healthy so Celtic will probably see good returns in the medium-term. I think the deal makes sense to all.

Celtic can let us speak to their players if they want before we agree a fee.  It seems clear that:

A. Celtic want to sell
B. We want to buy
C. The players want to come

In this instance why wouldnt Celtic let us discuss terms with them before the deal is agreed, especially if we were not a million miles away from their valuation

Plus if we agree deals with the players it would be more incentive to get nearer to Celtic's selling terms.

But it's all hypothesis.

Anyone else think the deal clincher might have been Celtic's dismal 3-0 defeat in Portugal that will probably deny them the Champions League cash machine?

Celtic need the money, and if you are in that position you accept transfers for squad players.

Great work by the board.

I was wondering the opposite, although your theory makes more sense.

I hoped that they wouldn't realise Lennon is rubbish until they'd signed for us or they might hold onto them for the next manager to make a decision.

Lets have an announcement to day please board. Please!

In the piece about Kandol and Dossevi -

'If Kandol signs, he will join Celtic duo Simon Ferry and Paul Caddis at the County Ground. The pair have both agreed personal terms on their initial £350,000 switch from the Scottish giants, will have medicals today and could be officially announced as Swindon players this afternoon'

Sounds promising.

I am at a loss to why Celtic have got shot of these two.....along with Cuthbert.
Wonder if the Celtic fans seem it strange..they look as good as anything they got at present.

potentially when fit Celtic would have a midfield of McGeady, Scott Brown, Juarez and Joe Ledley. Ferry wouldn't get close to that midfield. I do think Celtic are weak at LB/RB as well. Mulgrew looked dreadful for them in the Emirates Cup.

fair point. Ferrys a good player but he wouldnt break into that midfield unless he improved quite a bit.
