Would anyone ever want to make one?

Would anyone ever want to listen to one?

I was just thinking the other day, what with fanzines becoming pretty much redundant due to digital media forms, would it be feasable to do a weekly podcast instead? I Imagine they'd be much cheaper to make

Listening to some other football ones and they seem quite funny and decently informed. I reckon if you got the right people on talking it could be a go-er, though I may well be talking out of my backside

Probably best not to do a podcast with that strategy, people might not be able to understand you.

what you need to do is something similar along the lines of brightons albion roar, they do a 1 hour show each week that then goes out on podcast, its broadcast on local community radio, is there that one in swindon based by the club shop?

Yeah there is, it's swindon 105.5. they have a sports show currently that goes out on wed mornings and repeated on saturdays mornings.

I'm hoping to speak to someone there oer the next few days so might bring it up.

Not quite the same, but we did some Podcasts of chats with a few fans talking to players/management staff a few years back. They were good fun but hard work to put together on a spare-time basis. You'd have your work cut out to do it even fortnightly unless you link up with a radio station like PP suggested and let them do the hard work on the edits etc. Or just do it live, as straight chat, like the one Mex was on

tbh what I thought of was just 4/5 blokes sat around someones kitchen table talking about town for an hour every week, then try to get as much buzz around it as possible.

Tbh i don't have the facilities to record such a thing, but if anything like this does happen i'd like to be involved

If that's what you were going for, a voice recorder and some free audio editing software like audacity is all you need really.

Aye I know that. It's mainly because i'm not based in swindon that I wouldn't be able to do it week in week out!

Panda paws you should try with 105.5, then what you need is 1 or 2 regular presenters and 2 or 3 guests each week, peice of piss to be honest. See if they will do a 1 hour show on mornings of games. I could do home games no problem and then you need someone local who deosnt go away to host that weeks.
