I would like to be the first to say that i actually think he will end up a decent player.
He must of been fucking pissed off at being told by Zola instead of sitting on West Hams bench could you go and sit on Swindon Towns instead.
No one was going to break the Paynter Austin partnership last season.

I'm pretty sure he didnt want to be here, or at least his attitude suggested that.
Maybe he just expected to walk straight into our team and was pissed off when he didnt, so his motivation dropeed and when he did play for us, he was poor.

I'd like to see him back alongside Austin and get a run in the team this season.... won't happen though and I know I will get shot down for suggesting this, that said people have Said Ball looks ok.

I don't think it was so much he didn't want to be with us, as he didn't want to adapt his style of play to League One generally.

i dont buy into the nobody could break the austin-paynter partnership. remember when fallon came in during the mooney parkin play off season?
both pericard and nouble had ample opportunity to make an impression. the fact is both were disapointing.

They were arriba i can't disagree with that my main point is as a 18/19yr old lad to sit on Swindons bench instead of West hams must of pissed him off bit.

Maybe if he had impressed more at Swindon he wouldnt remain on the West Ham bench! Ward came in and was messed around with his position etc but he was first class...like Ritchie the Nouble loan didnt pay off, some do some dont.

I thought he was pretty shit, and was suprised when I saw that he'd scored to for England and gets mentioned quite a bit as a future star.
But then to be fair he'd didn't get a lot of opportunity here and if comparing with Ward, it did take Ward a few months to get into the team.
