*given lasty shirt name bit.
Thought we could do with a distraction from players who names start with a G. Maybe we could do an alphabet squad of 26 (or 25, no X's)?

Andy King's great unwritten Robert Ludlum pastiche "The Van Der Linden Option" (aka "Stick the Dutch lad up front for the last 5")

When Mourinho used to stick Robert Huth up front for the last 5, he was hailed as a tactical genius, when Guardiola sticks Pique up front in a rare time of crisis, he is lauded for his bravery. When Kingy stuck VDL up front he got called a cunt....I never did get it.

Cos Kingy was a pioneer wasn't he? You always get flak for ground-breaking. Bloody Mourinho and Guardiola copied him! That is some tribute, a true testament to Kingy's tactical nous.

Because King got shit for whatever he did whether it worked or not. Whereas Mourinho gets hailed as a genius for whatever he does, even if it's a bit shit.
