I agree this is a football forum and it's summertime. This is the biggest news of the summer so far. If people want to discuss it so what.

There isn't much else to talk about stfc-wise.

Perish the thought of discussing out current squads coming and going and percieved shortcomings and strengths during the pre-season. The idea is obserd, nay madness. Football fans. Who do they think they are.

Butterscotch instant whip is where its at.

I suspect we'll start the season with the 3 CBs we currently have given Fitton's comments in the Adver today. I do however think Wilson will look to bring in someone on loan if things don't go well like he did when he bought Greer here initially.

Ive said it once, Ill say it again thats a massive gamble. If that happens, what will happen to Greers 250k?

AF and Co. will without a doubt nick it. Along with selling all saleable assets and definitely not paying any tax or other outstanding overheads whatsoever.

It'll get spent in other areas, including paying the bills. If the teams all round strength is retained then I'm more than happy

Think ee definately need an experienced CB back there. Cuthbert is a great player but we need an experienced head in there. Lack of a replacement will be going back 2 years.

The way you lot go on you would think we have just sold a player with over 500 games ffs.

Shall we not wait and see what happens

Maybe, just maybe Fitton will use it to offset some of the £2m plus he and his mates have to put in to the club each and every season just to keep it going. The bastards.

My issue with all this is the reason we lost the play off final was down to the fact that we had the less experienced side- Millwall had more experience all over the pitch and it showed.

I do not see how losing even more without replacing is going to help us go 1 better this time. You do of course need youth in the side, but this must be balanced with experience as well. At centre back we now have 3 youngish players- hence why a 4th experienced head is desperately needed.

The more i think about it we can't win can we in some respects.

Most people say Morrison isn't ready yet and needs more game time,we all agree that to be the case and on the other hand we say we are now desperate for experience at the back.

So lets say we get the experienced head in that everyone is craving who out of you lot will be so understanding when sean morrison wants to leave to gain more first team football.

We moan that we want our young players to stay and on the other hand want more experienced players infront of them.
