Applying the logic normally applied on here. I'm rubbing my hands at thought of who the 16 new signings will be.

15. We've signed David Ball apparently. He's going to wear number 16.

I don't think numbers really mean a great deal these days....Austin has obviously asked to keep 32; Cox wanted 31 (and kept it at WBA); Timlin has 11, but is not, so far as I know, a left winger; Cuthbert is centre back not right back;  8 used to be midfield, as 10 was forward - Prutton has 10...maybe 8 is reserved for Ferry?  Don't think any interpretation can be put on it!!

I agree there's not a great deal in it but to see both 5 and 6 empty suggests to my warped mind a CB may be on his way

Cheesy

Cutbert should have switched to 5 as he probably will play central defender this season also.

No 10 could be a midfielder, but then he needs to be a technical genious like Platini, Hagi og Maradona and I don't think Prutton is quite that player.  I would rather have seen Austin take the no 10 shirt, but I guess he's a bit superstitious.
Every player should want to be a part of the shirts between 1 and 11.

It's funny how numbers are so scattered these days. I recall watching some ITV sport classics some time ago and both teams had 1-11 on the pitch and starting. Wonder when that happens these days? Never would be my guess.

Holland actually did that in the World Cup against Slovakia. Smiley

In rugby it's always 1-15 that start.

I seem to remember hearing that when Mansfield lined up against at the County Ground in 2007, they were numbered 1 to 11. Or there was a sub later on that meant they were.
