Something that amused me today was that Schweinsteiger translated into English is Pig-Climber.

Franz Beckenbauer = Franz Swimming-Pool-Builder
Gianluigi Buffon = Gianluigi Buffoon
Vicente Del Bosque = Vicente Of-The-Forest

Non football related

Claudia Schiffer becomes Claudia Fisherman
Helmut Kohl becomes Helmut Cabbage

Any others?

Cristiano Ronaldo = Smarmy, arrogant, pretty boy little twat that you would gladly deliver much physical and emotional pain to.

I suspect that it is a universal translation.

My Dad always referred to the French tennis player Henri LeConte as 'Arry the Twat. Which amused me no end at the time and still does.
