Brighton....Big-spending?

They've talked a good game, but when they've had to deliver, they've failed miserably.

A bit like the England football team.

Could lose Poyet to Swansea as well. He says he isn't going but we all know about loyalty and the lack of it in Football!

The Adver's constant downplaying of our prospects and 'bigging up' of our rivals is really starting to do my head in.  It's a local paper and should start acting like it.  This taken from one of the comments on the Adver story:

While commenting on The Adver, living in Witney the local paper is The Scumford Mail. However said Mail is absolutely HUGELY supportive of the UTD team. Over the weeks towards the end of the season and so on, my shedder was on overtime as so many match day pullouts, play off specials and so on drifted in through the letter box. I've never seen such commitment from a local rag. Loads of in depth reporting and big splash pull outs. In comparison The Adver should hang its head in shame I am sorry to say. Come on Adver, get yer selves into gear !!!!! we are the better team !!! we have the better set up, we have the better players, we have the better owners and we definately have the better management and staff.

Despite all the cash being thrown around at Brighton (with the stadium etc) they've not spent big money and Poyet has said he can't contend with a lot of the budgets at similarly positioned clubs.

The BHA big spenders theory is yet to be proven. Not that clubs in this division need to spend lots of money to do well.
