I was just out on my bicycle for a leisurely ride around the country, when the inevitable struck... slow puncture. Luckily I remembered that in the next village there was a bicycle shop, so pushed on hoping that the shop keeper/owner would have a shred of decency and lend me a bicycle pump so I could limp home on semi inflated tyre. Well, I got there only to be told that he'd sell me a pump but the cunt wouldnt lend one to me, despite being approx 8 miles away from home, he said 'I dont make money of lending tools, but I will sell you one'.
Thanks for nothing you absolute bag of shit, thanks to you thats a second tyre shredded in as many outings...some people!

I used to get loads of punctures, so I got some super strong tyres and also thick inner tubes and never had a puncture after that. I know that's not the point of the thread and I feel your pain. Perhaps you should've offered something in return.

I can see his point.Would you have gone back there to buy a new tyre or puncture repair kit?
Nah you'd have nipped to Halfords.

Name and shame the shop here and I'll post it up as one to avoid on Bikeradar cycling forum.
Local bike shops are always moaning at people to use them instead of the big chains like Halfords, but behaving like a wanker to someone who was in trouble and miles from home doesn't do their cause much good.

Surley a blow job would be more appropriate.

The cunt in question was a shop called Hasnips in a village called Wickham Market in Suffolk. Yeo...The fact that I was in the middle of no where and the nearest Halfords was a good 30-40 miles away means that I couldnt have just nipped to Halfords even if I wanted to. I went there yesterday in fact to pick up mentioned new tyre and they were excellent and very helpful. Im all for helping out the little guys, but surely if they want to be cunts for no particular reason then people will take their business elsewhere.

I Can't see what your moaning about? I would have bought a pump, as should you have, you obviously need(ed) one.

I've got to be honest, I thought the same as Sutton.
The shopkeeper is trying to make a living, not be a good samaritan, and why did you cycle 8 miles away from home without a pump?

Again, not entirely related to the point of your thread but I was having real difficulty with punctures so I bought a pair of Schwalbe Marathon Plus and so far nothing..

Serves you right really, if your going on a long bike ride you should be 'tooled up', so to speak
