This is what I immediately thought. Neither will want to sit on the bench for another season - I imagine both would attract some kind of interest.

Would be a good signing, would like to see a good goalscoring left sided player sign as well.
A central midfield of Prutton and Dougie sounds very defensive.

There hasn't been any announcement that Easton or Timlin have signed their contracts has there? Good chance they are both looking round for a new club where they'll actually play and maybe for a few quid extra.

If he and Dougie play alongside eachother, it'll look like we've picked up our midfield from a local Soup Kitchen.

Just looked at Prutton's stats and he's 28 with around 300 club appearances

This surprised me, he's been around forever so assumed he was 30+.  Agree with most that he'd be a good addition.

Prutton would get my vote - that would be a class permanent signing and a statement of intent from the board.

Well, the gheyers already think they've got 'no competition' from us for his signature.

Their North Stand Chat forum is pretty good, it's just like a shit version of Waccoe. They see themselves as a massive club about to re-awaken, moving in to one of the countries best stadium, can't understand why anyone wouldn't want to play for them, let alone why anyone would want to play for us over them, Prutton would be a mug to come to us, are totally convinced they'll finish above us next season and so on. OK, some of it might be true but there is a definite Waccoe edge to a lot of it.

I am going to have a field day when that Bloom bloke does a bunk and it all goes Pete Tong.

I'm not certain but I'm fairly sure that Radio Swin/Wilts only mentions a player when it's pretty much done. I'll be tuning in at 6:35.

For me this would be a signing to get my juices somewhat flowing. Wilson's whole foundation has been built on players with experience of football at a higher level, ie Lucas, Douglas, Paynter, JPM, Greer etc. Prutton would be a big step even further down this enjoyable road. I was impressed with him when Colchester turned us over a few weeks ago, he makes his presence felt all over the park and is the perfect age.

Yes please.

You get crutons with soup, not Pruttons.

Do we even know if Danny's remotely interested? I mean Brighton were interested a long time ago and the only noise i've heard from us, is me Too Cool wondering if he'd be worth a punt in the rumours thread.

I think it's just journos making up shit that's plausible to fill a few lines of webpage. Although if we were to sign him, i'd be more than happy, as he's very much in the Ferry mould, only stronger and more experienced.

I'd be happy with that if he signs. Good player for this level.

Was only about 3 years ago that I saw him playing at Southampton in the Premiership on Sky and thought he was the best player on the pitch. Has always impressed me when i've seen him and would be a great signing, especially for fuck all.
