Ungentlemanly conduct covers it I believe - maybe not specifically in the rule book but pretty sure it's in the guidance as being against the spirit of the game.

gaining unfair advantage - you never see players clime on each others backs either which would be much easier to accomplish than lifting.

Presumably the same rule that applies to the goalkeeper using the crossbar to help him get elevation?

Kinky Tom's got it.
I remember reading one of my old referee guides before a match and it was about players using each other to gain an advantage. If players did this it was classed as unsporting behaviour and resulted in a booking and an indirect free kick if i remember rightly. I know i booked someone for it in that game though, 'cos i'm a cunt.
