Article on the BBC website says the organisers are considering a ban following complaints from broadcasters and players.

I find it easy to tune out from them, however I can see the annoyance. I don't really understand who goes to a game not to watch it but to blow a fucking horn for 90 minutes.
Also 2 notes rather than 1 droning on all game may be a little more entertaining.

The only legitimate use of vuvuzela is to beat the vuvuzelas blower to death.

France captain Patrice Evra has already blamed the noise generated by the vuvuzelas, which has been likened to the drone of thousands of bees, for his side's poor showing in their opening group game against Uruguay, which finished goalless. So that was why.

Yawn. Moaning for the sake of moaning. I barely even notice them. Have you ever watched football from abroad before? This is hardly new. Embrace another culture.
Although, if just one gets thrown on the pitch, there'll be a complete ban for the rest of the tournament....

This quote would suggest that you are talking bollocks. "In the days of the struggle (against apartheid) we were singing, all through our history it's our ability to sing that inspired and drove the emotions." Culture my ass.

Damn right BR - they are blowing them all game, every game, just to annoy you. They don't like you, you see, and wish to ruin your World Cup. Just turn the fucking volume down if you don't like them. Alternatively, stop fucking whinging.

Dont they know how stupid they look?
Plastic horns are something you give to 5 year olds to amuse them at Birthday parties.
Lowest form of atmosphere bar none. As a football culture, the lowest of the low!
