Details of Tour announced:

http://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10341~2092364,00.html

As mentioned somewhere else it's KSC of 2. Bundesliga fame and Al-Sabb from the country boasting the worst international team on the very first FIFA game ever (Qatar).

It's a bit confusing as to who we're playing when though.

KSC have us down as just promoted from League 1. They must not have been at Wembley.

http://www.ksc.de/aktuelles/anzeigen/news/ksc-vereinbart-trainingslager-testspiele.html

"Am Freitag, den 23.07. ist in Hallein der englische League 1-Aufsteiger Swindon Town Gegner des KSC.  Die Partie beginnt ebenfalls um 18.30 Uhr."

This is all absolutely surreal to me.

For anybody interested (not many I'm sure), their number 10, Massimilian Porcello is just coming back from 18 months out injured. He's scored a couple of pretty good free-kicks in the past. I would recommend a quick search for him on Youtube.

Al Sadd won't be a pushover either if some of their signings are anything to go by. Just signed the ex Lyon/Lille striker Abdul Keita for 8 million euro's alongside a Brazilian striker for the same fee. Also got the ex Brum striker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie and Pompey's full-back Nadir Belhadj.

YEs, I thought the OS got it wrong when I couldn't find "al Sabb".

I wasn't sure about going to the Forest game. It just doesn't excite me. But Now I've noticed it clashes with the Swindon Mela. So its definitely off the cards now.

I doubt it highly - who would actually broadcast a pre-season on-tour friendly featuring Swindon Town?!
