The attitude of the loan players comes from the management, direction of this club.
What a transformation in body language and encouragement we have seen in the last couple of seasons.
Upsetting to lose such good loan players, but I have complete confidence and Wilson/Fitton will have good replacements for next season.

I'm glad I managed to get out of Purton when I did and maintained some sense of reality.
You can take the boy out of Purton, but not Purton out of the boy.

Millwall beat us with a settled team that had been together a couple of seasons. what do ya reckon ?
Not really seeing as 5 of their starting 11 against us only joined this season...

You can take the boy out of Purton, but not Purton out of the boy. Careful now, or I'll slap you with my 6-fingered webbed hand.

The problem arises when the loan players (and we've had a few in the 1st team) leave at the end of the season it leaves a hole to fill.
If we can sign some, get some back then ok but if not we will struggle in the same positions in the coming season.

Its not the number of loan players that matters, its their mentality.
If they are hungry and want to be here (like most of this season loanees) then no problem. Cunts like Hutchinson and Paddy collins are the problem

To be fair to him I don't think you addressed his point at all (and yes feel free to call me a :cunt: ). Although having GOOD loan players (such as Ward) is great, these players set the standard, and can be difficult to replace. A permanent player who does well is most likely still there next year, while a loanee who does well will invariably be off to a bigger club next season, or attempting to break into the 1st team squad. Although players like Hutchinson and Tope are a waste of time... you don't miss em when they go back either!

We wouldn't have been anywhere near the playoffs without: Wards 9 goals, Ferrys driving runs and bundles of energy, Darby and Sheehans contributions...
This thread is a fail.

we've been getting loanees in for as long as i can remember. they usually benefit everyone concerned, so long may it continue.of course we will get some that dont work out for whatever reason, but we will also get some cracking players out if it like we have in the past

Loanees have provided some of the best football I've seen at the County Ground. It's a system that benefits everyone - parent club gets a player getting experience, loan club get an inexperienced but usually more talented player. I for one am glad to have watched the likes of Shay Given, Jimmy Davis, Michael Carrick and James Milner. It can also work for the lesser-known players with potential to sign permanently - Cox initially joined on loan.
I still have a fondness for Tony Grant for that lob against Hull as well.
I would also echo the many comments above - without loans, this season would not have turned out like it did.
