i stopped wearing shirts when hair started growing in strange places 
i did wear a red t shirt under my jacket however, just for wembley- never again. it doesnt make me any more/less of a fan for what i wear. stfc runs through my viens and some of those people with their brand new 442 shirts are just kidding themselves.

The only people who can call themselves true fans:
(a) stood up and sang at wembley
and
(b) wore red to wembley

Plagarist do you have any awareness of football casual culture at all?

For a lot of lads they don't want to wear the shirt and the scarf. To some they might see at as a cheesy or more "family" thing to do. And a lot of the non-shirt wearing fans sing the loudest at matches.

I assume you don't sit in the town end?

If someone has the shirt, the scarf, the mug and the calender does that make them more of a fan?

Don't get me wrong here I know a lot people wear shirts and that's fine - there's nothing wrong with that. But you have to accept some people just aren't into shirt wearing. It's not the way they choose to do football.


Oh and believe me it's nothing to do with the fact they want to tone it down cos it was millwall! What's more likely to attract trouble, a group of town lads dressed in smart casual wear - lacoste, stone island, fjall raven, fred perry etc etc polo shirts and caps and that OR a group of town fans in their shirts and scarves??

Got a season ticket in the town end. Although there is obviously a lot of people in the town end with shirts, there is a hell of a lot in the townend without, that i see every week, and that start alot of songs. Especially just to the right of the tunnel, where i stand every home game, and your right; Just because you dont wear a shirt doesnt meen your not a true fan. Wembley was the only time i've worn a shirt all season.

It's only opinions mate, and mine is you dont have to wear a shirt to be a real fan.

Crispy my whole post which you quoted was aimed at Plagarist should have made that clearer probably. I wasn't saying you weren't aware of the culture or didn't sit in the town end etc.

it appears i'm not a fan as i didn't wear red. i shall bow out gracefully and go support reading or someone equally as plastic.

oh and my sister wore red and sung but hasn't been since she was 6 and is now 24.
Clearly she is a bigger fan than me going by your post.
