Of course they are, it's a football club song for God's sake. The FA have strict regulations about exactly how crap such songs must be and the exact amount they must make normal supporters' toes curl every time they hear the thing

Rhyming "dream" with "dream" is inexcusable.

And as long as no-one tries to get us to sing the bloody thing at games

Quite right!

I can't find any examples right now, but back in the 1920s/1930s it was fairly common for poems to be published about cup exploits etc.  I remember one, in particular, in one of Dick Mattick's books that has something about raising a hearty cheer for the valiant Robins who vanquishing the men from Old Trafford (or something).

(Actually, having just looked this up, it must have been following one of the two occasions on which we beat them in 1914 or 1930.)

Shame we're not an Angling Club. Then we could have rhymed it with "bream"

We're Swindon, for God's sake. Surely they could have used "steam"?

Has it got something similar to the John Barnes rap? If not, then I'd be extremely disappointed.

I'm sure that at the very least the final letters "rap" will be appearing in many reviews of the track

Haven't heard it yet, but it can't be as bad as that Cardiff FA Cup one.

It's a football club song, they're supposed to be awful. But if it helps build momentum/exictement, all well and good. It's only 3 quid and the money goes to Swindon Downs Support Group, so no matter how bad it is, I'm going to get a copy for that alone.
