At least 5 norwegian Swindon Town fans have bought tickets for Wembley and are looking forward to the game. I wonder if there will be any Official STFC Merchandise sold at Wembley, outside the ground etc. before the game?

Eager to pick up some Play-Off merchandise for the game!!

COYR!!

See you all saturday!!

Welcome, and yes, there are normally merchandise outlets around Wembley.

Welcome, I'd like to know how the link between Norway and Swindon has happened, is it Because of Jan Aage?

Not sure about official merchandise but there'll be plenty of people selling flags and scarves and such on Wembley Way!

i remember at an england game a year or 2 ago, there were a lot of people selling flags etc, but obviously not official stuff as you say. when i decided to get a flag i had to follow the bloke for about 10 minutes as they kept getting escorted out of the area for not having licenses etc, hardest time ive ever had buying something from someone desperate to sell it to you!

Thanks a lot!

Great, Sonic Youth, we should bring a norwegian flag then - but then again; being heavy, I travel light - so I'll only bring myself and a toothbrush. No room for flags! Clap

And to Sutton: It's a long story, but I've been a fan since 1991 and Bernt - one of the other going over in our group - has been from 1989. That's before Jan Aage. There is a long tradition for english football in Norway because the Norwegian Broadcast Service (NRK) used to broadcast Match of the Day from England. And almost every norwegian football-fan has a british favourite team, and in 1991 I read about Swindon being demoted a year before and startet to follow their results - well and that's how a 20 year old love affair started, I guess! (and I also remember from the Panini albums when kid that I liked the old crest with the train) Yes

I went over the first time during PL in 93/94 and our fan club in Norway had of course Jan Aage as a honorary member. Maybe some of you old timers remember us being out on the grass before the game vs. Chelsea in 93/94 honoring Paul Bodin with the Player of the Year-award?

We also travelled over in 94/95, and I have also seen Swindon live in 2000 and 2008. Unfortunatly it's years between the live games because I live in another country, but I have been at STFC World member for years - so that's a way to make up for not being able to watch the game live - I listen to most of them!

Come on you Reds!  Yes

I haven't posted for ages, but this is worth it. That is a fucking ace story NorwayRed. Fair play to you and your mates.

If I see group of five lads in STFC viking hats, i'll be sure to say hello.  Enjoy the day.
