Did you do the decent thing and pretend it was from you..Or was there a card so you can hunt him down and ask him to send the chocolates to you next time.

The mosque down the road doing their call to prayer thingamybob.
That in itself is not a problem. What is a problem is that their fucking speakers are feeding back and it's driving everyone nuts.
Hope they fix it soon otherwise I'm gonna call a jihad on their ass.

We're staying near the Blue Mosque in Istanbul this weekend, how often do they do this call thing? Is it at stupid o'clock in the morning?

I think so, but not really sure. The call to prayer is not usually loud enough to bother me in the slightest, I only noticed it sometimes when I am already awake. I think they've fixed the feedback already. They must read the TEF,

Isn't it 4-5 times a day? I was in Fez, Morroco last year and it shat me up at stupid o'clock in the morning!!

İmsak (Fajr; 03:38 am): two hours before dawn, to awaken the faithful for prayer (pretty much the middle of the night!)
Güneş (Tulu; 05:42 am): Dawn, before the sun appears
Öğle (Zuhr; 13:12, 1:12 pm): Midday, when the sun passes the zenith
İkindi (Asr; 17:07, 5:07 pm): Afternoon, when the shadows cast by objects are equal to their height
Akşam (Maghrib; 20:21, 8:21 pm): Sunset, when the sun has disappeared below the horizon; beginning of a new day in the Islamic calendar
Yatsı (Isha; 22:08, 10:08 pm): When the last light of day has disappeared

was tempted to say they were from me, but I would be in trouble if it was found out not. No card, so she has this new "secret admirer" in her head now
