Some males need to have a fucking word with themselves.

Plus I know its been edited to shorten, but bloody hell, all a bit Savile isn't it. https://x.com/C4Dispatches/status/1704191613260509605

I had a look online and I got varying bits of information, but do the DVLA still send out the road tax reminders by mail? Mine is due on 30th September and I've still not received anything. Our other car which we taxed earlier in the year we got a letter about a month before.

I suspect I'll get an email, but just wanted to see if anyone had done it recently?

Pretty sure you still get a letter as it has the code on it you ned to input to do it online.

Yes but usually weeks in advance so I put it to one side then by the time my car tax is actually due I can’t remember where I’ve put the letter and I can’t bloody find it & have to wait till I’m a week over due and they send me a reminder.

This year I took a pic on my phone so it’ll flag up as a memory next year (and every year)

How does that fella who escaped from prison plead not guilty to escaping from prison?

How does that work?

He can plead what he likes.

There is frankly something odd about the whole case.

In Germany it is not illegal to escape from prison.

They state that....

"The basic desire for freedom is implicit inside every man so trying to escape cannot be considered a crime."

That's what I thought. For the other car we got the letter miles in advance and subsequently forgot about it. We drove to the airport to go on holiday to Turkey in June and towards the end of June a light bulb went off in my head and I asked my wife if she'd paid the tax and she confirmed that she'd forgotten. Without the reminder letter or the car registration details we couldn't do it online and had to call the DVLA to explain the situation. They were great and we were able to do it over the phone. (dread to think how much it cost mobile to DVLA in Turkey) Our car would have been untaxed for the drive from Birmingham airport to home had we not done anything, which is why I'm curious as to why I've not had any reminder yet for our other car.

I didn't get a vehicle tax reminder letter this year.
Lost in the post or DVLA can't be bothered anymore. Don't know.

Had to use the vehicle log book, except never had one through when I bought the car so had to fork out for a replacement.

Rick Edwards as the new host of Fighting Talk on BBC Radio 5. He replaced Colin Murray, who I liked, I expected some teething issues with the change of hosts but fuuuuck me the first two shows were absolute car crashes, haven't bothered with last Saturdays one. Jordan North did a better job guest hosting a few shows last season.
