My wife is a nurse, but if she is needed in work she will not strike. She's too professional for that. They all are.

It will staff that are not working that day.

Oh and I did tell her to go and glue herself to somewhere in Swindon, but for some reason she refused.  Roll Eyes

Can't she just be satisfied with a few more claps??

Seriously though our neighbour is a nurse, retired but went back during Covid when the plea went out and still doing a bit now, plus both their daughters followed her into nursing and the stories she has to tell for what they earn is frankly shocking!

That clapping was the most embarrassing thing. It got pointless and tedious after a while!

Setting aside its barely literate form, you have to admire the foresight of Swindon BC.

Apart from being a year ahead and swapping capitals etc, it's the American spelling of honour that's most annoying.
See it a lot with center, tire etc.

When I travel into London for work I park at a small train station near where I live. This is generally once, sometimes twice per week. To pay for my parking I use an App. Every single time I make this payment, even though it's been fairly regular for over a year now I have to log into my online bank and approve the payment. I've tried to no avail to try and make payments to this app 'trusted' so I don't have to go through this rigmarole each time but no luck. I do get that banks have to try and add layers of security (usually asking me to insert card when there is a massive queue of people behind me at the supermarket), but surely they are clever enough to realise by now that this is a regular payment I am making and not need to have it checked?

Another Fatality on the 419 this morning. A pedestrian apparently.

People moaning about the traffic. Take a min to pause and think about the families - both sets and the driver.

Must be awful.
