Not everyone can vote, turnout of 62.5% is down to choice of the voter, the 13.6m is still over 3/4 million votes over the next lot. It's the same in most democracies around the world. Unless you have a better suggestion?
A better suggestion than FptP? A voting system where any losing vote in a constituency isn't even counted in the final total? Literally any other democracy in the world do it better than us. Hailing a 62% turnout as voter choice and then unironically claiming there isn't a better way. Good grief. |

Who is hailing a turnout of 62.5%? It's poor, but that is down to the voter unless you have a forced voting system. I hate politics and no allegiance to any party, some people vote for the same party at every general election regardless of manifesto. |
