A project manager calls every meeting room in the company 'The Boardroom'. There are 14 different meeting rooms, none of which are titled as being a boardroom and thus nobody can tell what room she's referring to.

To the London office workers lingering in the pub at 15:15 on a Thursday, get back to work so that Wobbly can get a seat and continue with pub crawl in comfort.

Had a few beers in Canary Wharf area yesterday. Charing Cross Road / Oxford Street today. Spending a couple of days in London, gig last night (Indigo O2) and another one tonight at The Forum.

When players do "there's more to come from me" interviews because, in my experience anyway, there rarely is. It's normally said in the context of a new signing who has had an inconsistent start. At best, they stay inconsistent but more often than not they just turn out to be plain shite.
I can remember Aaron Brown following this process to a tee.

AFC Bournemouth.
And yes, it is borne out of jealousy and bitterness.

I just feel sorry for players who are even in this situation (especially the ones who struggle with English!) If someone shoved a microphone in my face and started asking stupid questions after I'd been running my tits off for 90 minutes I'd be getting my FM phrase book out, too.

I'm guessing you never saw Aaron Brown play for us? You'd be hard pressed to remember a game where he ran his tits (or anything else) off for 90 seconds, much less 90 mins

Why anyone thinks interviewing footballers is a good idea is completely beyond me anyway. They are hardly the brightest sparks in the world - by necessity, you don't become good at football by concentrating on your studies by and large, and generally they need sufficient confidence to deal with the constant threat of being cut at each age group that they generally never think they'll need that education.

I wonder when Southampton fans will see it as a Derby game?
