No wonder pubs are struggling. Popped into the Steam Railway last evening - pint + glass of wine was just short of a tenner!

How can people afford to get hammered these days!

It's what happens when Tory economic incompetence leads to a run on the £. Try buying a jar of Marmite atm.

I'm hardly an OAP but I remember the days where if push came to shove you could get quite merry on a tenner, pissed on 20 and hammered on 30, which included a pack of fags and a taxi home. These days, on the occasion I do go out, it costs the best part of a ton.

My first wage packet was £7 - I could get ratted on £1 @ 12p a pint - as long as you avoided Starlight Bitter, Watneys Red Barrel etc.

In fact, my mate's dad ran the Duke of Cumberland in Corsham - a proper old school scrumpy pub in the early 70s. Could get a pint of that stuff for 9p!

Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn to succeed Thai king, prime minister says

Is that good, bad, indifferent?

Oh wait, just read on BBC he isn't (as) popular. FH can't answer, his "uh-oh":

so what does this mean for you?

Probably not that much to be honest, our Thai based business has been slow lately anyway so not much will change there. The timing is fortunate for me really because I currently have a decent writing gig that'll give us some stability, especially if the Baht takes a battering which it probably will. The writing gig is for a UK client so that won't be affected.

All fucking hell could break lose in the coming weeks though, I'll just keep my head down.

Ha, yeah. Not the best timing for her.

It's mine tomorrow and all the pubs and what not will be shut. He could have held on for a couple of days.

They've blocked the BBC but are still letting the subversive power of the TEF through? Slipped up there.
