My mum lives in a very nice little village just outside Hemel Hempstead, on a very posh road (just sold their 4 bed detatched for £950k...  ) and a couple of years ago a bunch of their neighbours ran through a fad of having their roof tiles jetwashed clean. These are all pre-war bloody big detatched places, the houses showing the suitable weathering, and most looking really nice. Then you got these ridiculous houses with bright sparkling clean rooves, meanwhile the brickwork of each house is still in the same weathered state. ridiculous. |

Spending quite a while wondering why my sons old Nexus 7 keeps turning off. Ended up wiping it in desperation and thought that was that. But during the app restore it went again, straight after unlocking the screen. Then it hit me, its the stupid cheap case we bought for it. Its got a magnet in it so the Nexus auto detects when its shut and switches off. But it only seem to work if the Nexus is one way up, swivel it around and the problem returns! The bloody thing is still restoring apps...  |

Quite a few of the better ones play very good standard men's cricket, Kate Cross took 8 wickets in the Lancashire league a month or two back. I've played against Lizelle Lee who plays for South Africa and she was unbelievable. The depth of talent isn't there but that's to do with the size of player pool more than anything else. They'll never bowl 90mph but the other skills are much closer. |

The cost of a Swindon Wildcats season ticket doubling in 4 years. We had season tickets for a few years before my eldest arrived, but then stopped. We still go a few times a year, the individual game tickets have gone up by 3 or 4 quid, but the season tickets are twice what they were. That sucks. £900 for a 2 adult, 2 kid season ticket.

yup! my other half detests football but we all like hockey, it's a family activity. At the moment it'll be one or two games a month for us, a family ticket is 32 quid, which isn't bad, considering!
