Trying to improve their service.
Damned if they do and damned if they don't.
I receive no interest, and all I use it for is to have my wages put in and to make withdrawals/transfers and payments. What else can they do for me? If I want something then I'll enquire (probably on here first )

A driving instructor beeping at me for going past his stationary vehicle on the inside, as he waited behind another vehicle to pass a parked car. I then waited for him at the lights at the bottom of the hill to ask why he had beeped me, and which part of the highway code I'd broken, to which he said, "you should overtake on the outside." Yeah not on a bicycle past stationary traffic, chump. He was queued at the roundabout and I 'undertook' him again in the bike lane.
And also the dick this morning on her bike who, at a busy hospital turning, decided to start to move out to the middle of the road to turn right without looking, without indicating, with headphones in, as I overtook her (on the outside!) At least she'd have been close to where she needed to be if anything bad had happened.

I'd be surprised if more than 50% of cyclists use lights when needed.
If they got off the roads and onto the pavements I wouldn't care but a lot of them are an accident waiting to happen, where of course the drivers is the default recipient of the blame.

Reminds me of when Pressed steel used to turn out. Gypsy lane/Swindon rd was fun in the 70s around 4 oclock every other day. I say every other day because when it was quiet, they were on strike. On the subject of cyclists. Why are the professional types (wiggins wannabes) so reluctant to use cycle paths.? Akers way is a prime example.

Not sure about the professionals but the cycle paths around town are dire
I used to ride to Dorcan from Meadowcroft till knocked off and 2 broken wrists Anyway the path alongside Rover is never gritted in winter ( none of them are ) and as gets little sun is an ice trap Not to mention the railway tracks at a lovely angle for getting your wheels trapped. Down the bottom end of Dorcan way is even worse with the pathway itself broken and lifted. And to cap it all around there the council cut the bushes/hedges back and leave the path covered in some lovely thorn coated waste. Puncture city

Always a fine sight when so many bikes all out together motorists just had to give way. The other epic 2 wheeled congregation coming out from the works. My father, who was Inside before going down the slope to Pressed Steel...always used to pedal to work, and then come home at lunchtime, before pedalling back again. Swindon has a very decent network of cycle paths...admittedly some of the surfaces are rough, and it would be good if SBC, spent a bit of money in putting proper surfaces on, and expanding the network into a few gaps, but to me the odd puncture has to be a better option than mixing it with increasing numbers of goons who clutter up Swindon's roads.
