.. on flights with bad turbulence and the only reason I wasn't thrown about the cabin was the fact I had a seatbelt on.

Exactly. Though its reasonably rare to whack your head on a plane ceiling during turbulence its not exactly unheard of!

Its never going to happen anyway though, the CAA won't allow it. If you can't afford a seat on a plane then you can't afford to fly. End of.

The Comet 'Everything Must Go Liquidation Sale'.  I went in there earlier and the reductions are a maximum of 20% most only 10%, so the majority of stuff is still cheaper to buy online or elsewhere.  The ridiculous thing was that some of the people in there were acting as if it the prices were a real bargain.  I even saw two men arguing over the last one of a particular tv that had a massive 10% off.  What is wrong with people?

Pretty shitty week all up. My Dad had a major heart attack on Monday, so week has pretty much consisted of ferrying my mum to and from RUH. Thankfully on the mend, but a major scare nonetheless. Never smoked, doesn't drink, generally fit and healthy and only 68.

Its brought home a few home truths to me too, given that my Grandpa died of a heart attack at 66 and my Grandmother (mum's side) at 54. Getting myself to the Doc's pdq for an MOT...........

Hope your Dad continues to make good progress. I was down the Cardiac ward at the RUH this week, a family freind was taking in with heart problems and is now waiting to be transferred to Bristol for a bypass. Good idea to have a chat with your Doc even if it's to put your mind at rest.

The Director General of the BBC resigning over the Newsnight thing. And more specifically, the papers saying it was inevitable and neccessary: I must have missed the tide of tabloid resignations last year when a number of papers much less subtly accused Chris Jeffries of murder.

I'm not sure which is worse. Phillip Schofield handing Cameron a piece of paper and saying here's a list of paedophiles I got off the internet, what are you going to do about it. Or that about half the population thinks Schofield was right to do it. Or that anyone could possibly think a double act of Schofield and Willoughby are the right people to have a serious conversation with Cameron about the subject.

Bit surprised Schofield has anything to say on the subject, given that when the Saville scandal broke he said he didn't believe the allegations and that it would have been impossible for him to have done anything whilst working at the BBC.

Or Cameron publically linking the list with gay people.

The pricks who collect the recycling. I have just watched 3 of them all drop paper and just leave it. It's right next to them and they dropped it but cannot be arsed to bend down and pick it up. If they have done that outside my house then will be doing it all over the town.

Haha they tend to just throw the bins and lids all over the road where we live.

They also get quite particular if you put the wrong things in the wrong bins.

Fucking bin hitlers.

I live in flats so all the boxes go in one place and most Friday mornings there's pieces of paper everywhere. Gets right on my tits.

I'm glad they now collect bottles in bags not purchased (at great expense) from SBC. Used to fuck me off that bags were left because the bags were the wrong type.
