Greer laments 'worst moment in football'

GORDON Greer admits missing out on the League One play-off final will be his lowest moment in football, but Town’s suspended skipper will put personal disappointment to one side for the good of his
  team.

I still say that it wasn't a sending off! Won the ball in my opinion, yellow card at the most! Perfectly good tackle!

What has winning the ball got to do with it? He's clearly planted his foot into Deon Burton. At first I thought it was harsh but having seen it on TV, I would have been incredibly pissed off as a Charlton fan if it was only a yellow.

Shame, but it was a red. He's followed through (with his foot...)

It wasn't the initial high tackle that was the problem, it was the blatent follow-through.

Twas a red, shame he'll miss it, as although he does make the odd error, he's a rock. No coincidence our upturn in fortunes on the pitch started when he joined.

i've raved about thew guy lately and stand by it.i'd have liked him to play next week.
that said i'm not at all worried at him missing the final, as ljf is very good at centre back.

There have been worse but it was an easy decision for the referee.

The game changed after this so Greer's moment of madness was ultimately worth it. I'm sure Deon Burton wouldn't agree though.

I suppose you could say it was a blessing in disguise! I'm still standing by my decision that a yellow card was more than worthy! Maybe i'm just biased!

He booted Burton in the ribs! Whilst this should be applauded, it is still a red card!

unsure if it a red card tbh. seeing it again and again i think a yellow would have been better

I can understand that DMR, but, for me i don't think he couldn't of stopped the momentum.
