Agreed.  I'm a big lover of beer but have always found beer before football unsettling.  If we win, I shall indulge myself enormously, but its such a big occasion I want to be sober to take it in.

To be fair, as a long distance fan going to a game has, since 2002, involved a lot of driving - making drinking a bit of a no-no.  Even so, I'd hate to wake up on Sunday not fully remembering Saturday, no matter how it turns out.

Indeed, fatherhood is impending.  I stand by it though - if we win on Saturday by a last minute goal, why would you want to wake up not remembering that moment?  If you need to be pissed to enjoy football, you are missing the point entirely.

Of course, I shall get hammered after the game when I finally get home.

"elcction" is well bad. We need to go drinking together to sort this.

We'll sort it out over a garlic chicken and beansprouts. Followed by an examination of your "election" by a spicy Thai.

Quite a few of us are heading there very early - should avoid the congestion on the tubes and Millwall, plus loads of good pubs.

I'm getting the tube to Edgeware Road and then pub crawling it through Marylebone to Baker Street (doesn't look far on the map but suspect someone will now say it's a good hour's walk!). More pubs that way and you don't have the disappointment of getting to The Globe and seeing it rammed....mostly with Millwall!! The Met bar opposite is large but soul less unless we get a couple of 100 town in there!  Beers

Not a pub i would go to anyway, but i know of two mini buses who have paid deposits to drink and park here...seems Millwall fans are heading there to which is abit naughty if the landlord/landlady has stated its a Swindon only pub.
Not trying to worry people etc but would be very wary at this pub.

i wonder what the old bill will think of this? seeing as it's been allocated swindon and is on our side of the ground could produce a nasty atmosphere.

they are acting like spoilt children who don't have the best toys so want everyone elses
