If they want the Green Man who cares. I just want to have a drink in peace, and if the children want that pub, they can have it. I'm an adult and have no desire to take part in some childish dick-waving competition with a load of knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers with the IQ of mashed potato.

Is it possible to drink cans of lager outside the stadium? Certainly better than queuing up inside a pub for 30mins trying to get a pint in.

If you venture up the hill on Wembley High Rd you will be wading through a river of cans. There are a few pubs, take-aways etc round there plus plenty of, erm, Asian-type shops that sell cans-a-plenty. Buying from them & drinking the cans outside the pubs is always a good idea there. You want to be drinking don't you, not wasting half the time queueing.

So thats how it works, cheers. I was forgetting the open mouth bit, resulting in many sad and sober nights.

If I was sensible, I would let Millwall have the Green Man.

The East side is rubbish, weve got the prime end. Loads of pubs, loads of choice.

Millwall will be expected to come in via the Jubilee at Wembley Park. The best way of segregating it would be to let us have all the pubs south of the British rail overline, they get the handful that are north of it (which would include the Green man and DRS's Sports bar).

I guess landlords may well have requested to have Swindon instead of Millwall? But by not giving them the pubs nearer to Wembley Park I think the Met would be backing Millwall into a corner.

Find out soon anyway. Cant wait. 2 hours away from Wembley week.

It's funny really, I love a beer. I mean REALLY fucking love a beer but I've only very rarely got pissed before a game. The only time I've ever got REALLY pissed before a game was Leicester away in 1992 (just before Christmas) and it was horrible. The game was just like a dream...wierd. And I drunk the most horrible concoction of drinks. Felt shit for about three days - and that was when I could really drink (not like now)

Anywhoo, pont is. I'm not bothering to drink before the game. If we win though I am going to party like it's 1999 all over again. I do actually have some champagne on ice chilling as we speak Cool

I'm with you there OST. Whenever i've got drunk before a game i've pretty much missed it. Everyone i am going iwth is getting on it at 9am and i'm worried i'll be too fucked to watch the game (it takes about 3-4 pints nowadays), so may try to stay soberish.

Not sure I want to be wrecked before the game. Will deffo want to have a few down me though. Charlton was a pretty good balance actually. Got into the ground feeling OK and the nerves had gone. Same again I think.
