If we do get to wembley, I would expect us to take 25 to 30k. The club will have just over a week to sell those tickets...they will really need to get their a's into g for that one...going to ticket zone was a good start, I found them to be very efficient and got through in straight away (although that was yesterday afternoon).

I'd expect 33k, which is around the mark we took the last 2 times.

The logistics of selling are a lot easier because you can, as arriba wanted for the home game, just get the printed tickets in batches and sell them one at a time.  You open up the windows where matchday sales happen and each window relates to a price band/lot of blocks in Wembley.  Then you queue for roughly where you want to go.  Much much easier from the clubs point of view than having to designate a specific seat to people, hold on to season ticket seats etc.  The harder part is the volume.

You'll probably get a couple days for season ticket holders, then maybe stub holders for the play off games and finally absolute mayhem when on general sale.

allowing 6-8 tickets  per person would help to get through the volume quicker. I really dont think there will be anyone who 'misses' out.

You mention we took 33k on previous occasions, my view is there was more interest generally in the club back then, will be interesting to see if its still there.

From the OS -

Ticket update: Play-offs
Posted on: Wed 12 May 2010

Ticket latest: Updated 11.14am, Wednesday 12th May 2010

Friday 14th May 2010 (Charlton Athletic, H, 7.45pm KO)

8,856 home tickets sold / Away allocation of 2,200 sold-out

Monday 17th May 2010 (Charlton Athletic, A, 7.45pm KO)

13,000 home tickets sold / 2,400 sold for away (away allocation 3,200)

So, only around 3500 home tickets left, so these should sell out tomorrow.

That's what they did in '93. They opened turnstiles all around the ground, and you went to the turnstile for that price of ticket you wanted. And you had to pay by cash only.
