I'm sure there is a thread this should go in to but I can't be bothered to look.  The sooner PR is adopted in this country the better.  I will vote on Thursday, as I believe it is a responsibility, but in the area I live and the way I will vote, it will mean nothing to the overall result.  Roll on PR.

You do realise that people like me.  People that think that immigration has gone to far, may also get a voice in Parliament.  Is that what you want?  At least with this undemocratic election you can keep the status quo

I wouldn't bother voting, Billy. Anyone who thinks the election is going to make any difference to how the country is run is fucking mad.

And PR aint going to happen; our political system is designed to keep the cunts with the power - in power.  You can change the party colours and the MP's, PM etc every few years, but it'll make jack shit difference.

Use the voting paper as bog roll or shred it.

How will not voting help?  The vote is currently the only tool you have at your disposal - its the way the votes are counted that is wrong.

Alternatively, contact Talk Talk.  You two might just find a spark...

If you think that voting makes a difference, why hasn't PR already been established in this country? It's been promoted as a fairer and more representative electoral system by opposition politicians and celebs like John Cleese etc for fucking years, yet it's always remained on the back burner. I wonder why?

Isn't Talk Talk a plastic? The only spark I'd find with him would be the one that puts him on his fucking arse.

deltaincline is right of course (in my eyes). It is all about power and vested interests. We just get a beauty parade of three choices. There are no realistic alternatives.

Voting does make a difference.  The whole system is based on votes.  What we need is a party who promote PR to get some influence in the House of Commons.  That is actually possible at the moment.

You can make your own mind up on Talk Talk.

'System' being the operative word.

Your being had over, Billy. Wake up.

OK.  I'll wake up.  I'll not vote.  I'll do nothing.  I'll spend the next fifty years not voting, and doing nothing.  Its the sensible thing to do.
