yeah will definately give it a go, just want a back up plan, as i'll have to buy the tickets for the game before the sas travel office will open, so will be gutted if i have to pay 40 quid each for the train. also saw something on the official site last week about sas travel being open before the brentford game then that was it, not open tuesday aparantly?
thanks

Personally i wouldnt go by coach anyway, not unless they are issuing crash helmets along with a police escort...either way there will be a few squeaky bums from the west come saturday.

I remember being told it would be safer to travel on the offical coaches to Plymouth back in the season after the Plymouth fan was killed in Swindon.
The OB held all the coaches outside Plymouth and took them in to the ground in convoy.
The problem was that made them a bigger target for the Plymouth fans who were lying in wait with bricks & bottles. I've never been to an away game by coach since.

Maybe group saver. When is cutoff for doing that, or can you buy up to last minute?

I drove to that one and was walking back to the car thruogh a mob of Plymouth when they put all the coaches through just past the garage. I just kept my head down and walked. Not a pleasant day, loads of them in our end and a shit game. Mind you, next year I got there just in time to see Plymouth's finest get kicked all over their car park. Town certainly were on form that day.

That's my worry, great big green coaches - just duck!
Main problem on the day, if they do decide to kick off, is they're not just gonna have the regulars out that day, but the glory-hunting little wannabe hoolies. Maybe it would make more sense to get the town fans out first???

we played at the new den in the cup a few years ago, official supporters coach was the only way we were allowed to get there. police escort for the last 20 or so miles of the journey, locked in the away end by massive metal fencing, kept behind afterwards, police escort back out to the main road.
we won and there was no trouble, pretty low profile game though obviously, they even applauded our players off the pitch.
