Although I think second place is out of our grasp I can see Charlton beating Leeds, Millwall losing to Tranmere (who really need a win) and us eeeking a win out. Its unlikely that Leeds will do anything but beat Bristol Rovers next week but the above scenario could see a fantastic end to the season next week.

I agree. It's all very unlikely but to even be in with a sniff of 2nd place next Saturday would change everything.

Sure will. And if we beat Millwall but still don't go up it will set us up nicely for the play-offs.

2-1 to DWBA, Charlie and Billy 1 each. I would love for it to be after us going one down. Don't care what the crowd is cos it won't include me today (stuck at work). SWMBO is keeping the family end up though.

As for second still being on- I've got my tickets for Milwall and would really love for it to be a game that mattered.

Come On You Reds!!!!!

Fitton on the radio, last interview of the season.

Stadium:  Whittle in-situ modernisation, reasonable cost estimate, realistic.  Forum mentioned, Deepdale STFC'd.  Ground may  look like the DR all the way round.  Will not turn ground around, Wembley and Old Trafford are the FIFA wrong way round.  Many things are possible, need to  use space behind the seats six days a week.  New Town End will be the first step.

Last day for low priced season tickets, average of 10,000 wanted for next year, fund team with more/better players.

In five years structure of Premier and other leagues may be different, important to get into the Championship - parachute payments means that the Premier League will become more permanent.  With four years of parachute payments, teams will go up and down like whore's draws on Saturday night (my words, not Fitton's).

Planning for next year short with the play-offs making time short.  Teams that go up and come straight down again perhaps due to lack of time for proper planning and organisation.

Need to strengthen all over, players were in the squad that were never going to play.  Need more depth, options with injuries, but spine of the team o.k.

Changes today, manger has tired players, some need a rest.  Not saving them, just need a rest.  Wilson believe in the core eleven, manager doesn't worry about one bad game, the other forty-five games are important.

Links with Celtic, Man City etc. important.  Darby for instance might be able to come back, who knows.

Fitton's closest club is Brentford.  Fulham have done great and it's not always about money, it's doing a good job.  Hat's off to Fulham on their achievements.

Fitton may be commentating for the play-offs.

A similar thing happened in 81 last game of the season we needed 1pt to stay up and it kicked
off with Brentford inside the Shrivvy Rd Stand before the game.
