Exeter have the incentive of Argyle next season.
Well happy this is going to the 46th game.

Stockport vs Tranmere
Tranny have a goal difference of minus 30, but will fancy getting a result at Stockport.
Is a Revell hattrick too much to ask for?

From Waccoe:
"Pissing with rain in London now. Pity our away support having to stand through that and then trudge back to station in a rain storm."
Yes, that's a real pity.

Funnily enough Leeds are better off now than they were at 1500hrs; Tranmere have done them a huge huge favour.
Going into the last game we could finish anywhere between 2nd and 6th, and I wouldn't change that for the world.

Andy Robinson on loan from Leeds was reported as being deserved for MoM for Tranny.

What an unbelievable set of results. I always knew it could happen but you always sit there thinking one late goal is going to ruin it all. Thankfully Leeds managed to throw their chances of equalising away and it sets next weekend up to be an absolute cracker. Realistically you'd expect one of the current top three to claim second from here but it's a funny old game and to have 5 teams going for it will provide some great entertainment.
The pressure is on Leeds and Millwall more than us. We just need to go there and spend 90 minutes looking to win the match in any way possible. If we don't manage it, or if we take the points and Leeds win leaving us third, despite being the worst case scenario from next week it'll still have been a cracking season and we'll be able to look forward to the play offs. Let's go to Millwall with a positive mindset and come back with one no matter what the result.

Oh and did anyone catch the po-lice and their dogs rushing to greet the Brentford fans coach along Shrivenham Road?
Looked like a bit of naughtiness had taken place.

Match report from Waccoe
the best form of defence is attack but how were we supposed to build any form of attack without being able to sustain any sort of possession.. the nerves got to them again and we resorted to hoof ball tactics again and again
i feel three players, in particular, deserve singling out for shit performances today, all three let the nerves completely get to them:
kilkenny and snodgrass- barely strung a single pass together of any note for the entire time they were on, both completely anonymous..
hughes- he has impressed me this season but he was completely woeful today and had to be brought off. he became a complete liability and panicked to hoof away possession, near enough, every time he had it, without fail..
those three are really going to need to learn to cope with the pressure in time for next saturday..
overall i can't really fault grayson for today apart from leaving out watt.. too young to let the nerves affect him and completely comfortable holding on to the ball and keeping it on the ground, exactly what we needed but by the time he came on it was too little too late..
Anonymous until he put the ball in to his own net, anyway.

Just got in - the whole game has now been overshadowed by the other results. Bloody hell who would have thought at 3.00 pm today it would still have been all to play for next Saturday. How on earth do we get through the week?!

Greer on:
Main thing three points, played well at times. Good performance needed after last Saturday.
Disappointed with losing the goals.
Brentford player wish him the best, fourth official put up 8 mins. Didn't know Leeds and Millwall results until right at the end of the game.
All about a good performance and three points, delighted to be in with a chance at Millwall.
Just another game of football on Saturday, seemed relaxed knowing that Leeds need to lose or draw.

Thanks for summarising the interviews! The Fitton one sounded very interesting - especially with respect to the new ground and thoughts about next season. 10,000 average sounds ambitious if we're still in League One but if they have a few tricks up their sleeves to try and get the punters in then hopefully the fans will respond.

So glad i already have my Millwall ticket, especially after seeing the queues after the game. Decent performance that could have been more comfortable, we allowed them far too much possession and time on the ball though. We played some beautiful stuff though, and created the better chances in all honest. Nouble, other than his cross to paynter, was gash, whereas Easton and Lescinel was apt and suitable replacements for Ferry and Cuthbert, and played their part. Paynter adding to his tally again, once more proving his real worth. Brentford really did impress me, and could be challenging for play-offs next season, providing they keep hold of Scott and the majority of their squad. Those minutes after the injury were the most agonising i've suffered in a long time, at one point i was screaming at the ref to blow up. The feeling after he did, however, was of sheer joy, ecstasy and enthusiasm. Who'd have thought that with one game to go we'd still be able to fantasise about automatic promotion? Roll on next saturday, lets fucking get right behind the lads, the pressure isn't on us, lets fucking go up!

SSN just talked a lot about the Charlton vs Leeds game and showed interviews with both managers, before moving on to talk about Millwall. We were totally ignored. We're still under the radar - just how we like it!

Aggggh. aagggh my head. Stop fucking with it.
So......
Leeds win - they are up. Leeds don't win, Swindon or Millwall win - the winners are up. Leeds lose, Millwall v Swindon draw - Charlton win, they are up. Leeds lose, Charlton don't win, Millwall v Swindon draw, Huddersfield win by 4 clear goals they are up unless there are freakish high scoring games in the Leeds/MillWall games.
I think. Aaagh my head. I was settling in for the playoffs and this happens.
Furthermore its all academic., Rovers can't possibly get anything at Leeds. Though I said that about Millwall at Tranmere and Leeds at Gills. And then there is the Leeds United effect to take into account...
-------------------
Good game today.Enjoyed it except all that injury time! Summary - good going forward, let in 2 sloppy goals. REf let too much go. Brentford were OK.
