Have a look at the Inn on the Green Incident when we played Bristol Rovers away, I was there and that was NOT pretty.

And there was the fighting in the CG and by Regent Circus at the Home game before that. And revenge for Town at the Home game after...

Always happens this time of the season. Everyone comes out for one last go. Plus people will always want to lash out if they've just been relegated, or if they've missed out on promotion/play-offs.

Still can't believe those 30-odd Brentford in the Shrivvy Rd yesterday. Completely unopposed they were, bowling around like they owned the place. They should've tried it on round by the hotel, or towards the station. Will that be the start of a bit of a rivalry?

I doubt it, back in 81, we played them last game of the season needing a point to stay up.

They had a crew of about 20 lads who thought they'd go on the Shrivenham Road terrace up by the TE, where there was a fence....little did they know that a group of Town lads, had vacated the TE, and were waiting for them, they got a good kicking all along the terrace.  Well funny.

Never been too much of a problem with Brentford, who are generally a decent bunch.

It was all handbags. I was right by it and never felt remotely in any trouble. If they had gone for it they would have got a shoeing. Most of the people by me were looking on with amusement. Nobody seemed concerned.

Haha like it. Yeh I've been there loads of times & it's always been a good crack with never a hint of trouble. That's why I asked really.

Yeh we were there too - I didn't mean that to sound like there was actual trouble, but they charged a couple of times and no-one did anything (apart from 4 or 5 that ran from them). I looked & we didn't really have any lads around at the time - like I said they were bowling around unopposed, but if they did it by the hotel etc they would've been dealt with.

If this was the 70s / 80s it wouldn't have got a mention. The reason they were unopposed is where they did it. Like a lot of other people I had my daughter with me and I wasn't going to respond as I didn't feel threatened. If I did feel threatened (and probably the same for a lot of others as well ) then its a much a different ball game.

That's because they did !

A few swindon "lads" ran at them, and the Brentford went "boo !!!"

Our so called boys shat themselves !
