....nicking Sturrock didn't do them much good did it. Will be good to see them next season, if things don't work out.

Not long.

The visits of Rochdale et al will scare many of their "Well, I support Liverpool really" fans back to the sofa and pub.

I don't think we're in too much of a position to mock other clubs about their attendances. Sarfend and the Dongs had more than us on Sat....

Was I mocking?

I lived in Plymouth, I worked with MANY of them. They went from Red Gerrard shirts to Argyle-4-Life within a blink of a promotion.

I only went to Home Park a few times when I was down there, the first with a 20,000 attendance....

Replacing him with Paul Mariner was never going to help either!

I saw the New England Revolution play when Mariner was Steve Nicol's assistant... To be honest they played some good football which was without doubt Championship standard.

The damage was very much done when Mariner arrived.

Meh, either way they deserve relegation for nicking our manager.

Southend were doing 1 adult and 1 child tickets for a total of £5. Franchise also had more empty seats than us.

Plus I bet Brighton took more to Southend than Walsall bought here.

Wot I couldn't understand about their game tonight was why they allowed so much Newcastle celebration - even helping them along by playing 'we are the champions'  - home club just relegated an all.

wouldn't put up with that at the CG - tell them to get lost and go and celebrate somewhere else if it ever happens here.

Not like the good old Rikki Hunt days when we gave Sunderland fans, the club that gladly took our place in the old 1st Division in 1990, both the Townend and Stratton Bank in 1998 so we could fill the ground and take the cash. Still at least Sunderland fucked it up in the playoffs on pens
