The players were nervous yesterday in front of an even more nervous crowd.
Hopefully the two away games will let them play with a bit less stage fright, so that if we have to play in the play off's we at least take a little bit of form into them.
I think Pericard needs to start a game to let him settle a bit - he is obviously a bit rusty.

In the last two games we went 1-0 down he made changes and we got draws. Not saying they are great points as they clearly are not but to say the changes are for the worse is utter bollocks.
I was referring to the Walsall game, he made the changes at 1-1 and we didn't really look like scoring again.

Always think i can think abit more rational the day after. We havnt played bad the last three matches, but we have lacked that little extra you need in these kind of battles. In the last thros of yesterdays match we still had five players on the halfway line and we dont seem to have a gunho approach when needed,of course this style of play has seen us have a brilliant season but its just so frustrating as we really did have that second place in our grasp. Of course a win next week puts us in the frame again but i think our chance of auto has gone. The football has been a delight which prompted me to get a a ticket for next season...and we still have a good chance of playing in the Championship.

I think the internet should be turned off for a few hours when we don't win at home. Some of the comments on here are fucking ridiculous.

Its democracy Sam...some numpty was slagging Derby off all match...i told him he was playing well and to shut the fuck up.....he looked even more sheepish when the tannoy announced he was sponsors man of the match...would love him in our team every week next season. Weve all got our opinions and this forum is briliant at discussing them....why turn it off.

It's probably been said already, but how many fucking times of late, have our shots on goal been blocked! I think it breached the 10 mark against Exeter, so i wouldn't be surprised to see a similar amount blocked during yesterdays game....It just seems of late that everytime we get in and around the area, in a perfect scoring position, that the initial shot is blocked....I'm obviously not havin a go here, it just frustrates the hell out of me! Fucking defenders and their last ditch defending........ That said, GG and SC both had a shocker yesterday, and Sheehan was also god-awful. Time to shake it up a bit? Bring in JFL and Morrison? I know a few people bum Scott Cuthbert, and maybe rightly so as he has been a class above this season, but no player should be garenteed a place in the starting XI, and after making 2 poor mistakes in the past 3 games which have cost us, i think it's time to warm the bench. I await Cuhbert's biggest fan in the form of DRS, to tell me i'ma cunt for even suggesting such a thing Is Nouble the next Tope Obadeyi?

No, he isn't Obadeyi scored for us, twice!!
I wouldn't drop Cuthbert but can see your point. I don't think LJF should have lost his place after his run in the side but he did. Sheehan has been poor since his return from injury
I'd have him back in Saturday. I certainly would want Morrison in our first XI right now...

i think your problem with me is that you misinterpret my points
I'm not going to here. I don't see how this point can be misinterpreted though: "if we dont go up this season it will be a massive fuck up."In what other way can that possibly be interpreted? At the end of the day, that's what you think, I strongly disagree. End of story.

*cough*
Anyway:
Bit calmer now as is always the case, and I have to give credit to Walsall.
This is a pretty fair point, I know we all care far more about our performance but credit where it's due. Walsall pressed the life out of us, looked sharper into the tackle and obviously had a bit more energy as they flung themselves into blocking tackles from start to finish. Early on, they could have been 2-3 goals up and were racking up a corner count that was starting to get embarrasing. After a while we got right into it and some of the passing and interplay with JPM, Dougie, Paynter and Austin was great to watch - it just kept breaking down at the vital moment or we didn't get a decent bounce in the penalty area. Their 2 centre backs were on top of most things lumped in high so it was frustrating when we chose that option. The nerves were definately jangling - not only because of a load of marginal back passes and defensive fannying around but the amount of touches players like Wardy seem to need - loads of attempted crosses were blocked or went too near the keeper. Thought subbing Charlie was a bloody good move - he'd been getting a few sly kicks from their defence, had done a few comic late dives and had got booked. The biggest problem with both Pericard and Nouble was the lack of directness - they seemed happy to lay it off rather than drive straight at their defence and get them back peddling - this could be total lack of confidence, match play or ability, I haven't seen them play enough. All in all we still had enough chances in the second half to have got at least 1 more goal and they also missed a sitter when their attacker was clan through and dragged it past the far post. Good to meet a few of the South Oxforshire Reds and Yeovil

Cuthbert is my player of the season...his mistake cost us a goal yesterday but we didnt score enough and thats the bigger mistake, same as against Exeter....Tranmere showed yesterday how good Exeter are...not very.

Were getting the same treatment we got at the end of the League 2 seasons. Lots of teams comming down and getting 9 men back in their own box in the hope of a point. Only this time its working.
All I will say is that Norwich, Leeds and Charlton have had this pretty much all season. The pressure on their players is also much greater because their fans expect to go up, unlike ours who seem to be dreaming of Wembley.
Not one of Scott Cuthberts better games, but the bloke is still a class act. Nouble is a complete waste of time. Why he is so highly rated I have no idea, just another athlete who is never going to cut it because as a footballer he is average at best.
We were by far the better team at Colchester and against Exeter. But I didnt think we did enough yesterday. Amankwaah should have come on mid way through the second half.
If we cant come from behind to win a game does anyone think we really deserve to go up?
