I thought it was for leaving his foot in on the keeper rather than for diving

Good point, well made. That wouldn't have hurt a fly.

true, I wasnt 100% certain what the booking was given for.

also, did he actually score or just run away with his arm up? I saw Cuthbert hit it, then it somehow ended up in the net. I really didnt see who got the last touch.

Pissed me off, they bloody celebrated instead of getting the ball back though.

if a team gets itself into a strong postition and then doesn't hold it,i can't see how its anything other than fucking it up.
we got to second,it was ours to lose, and lose it we did.that if we dont go up is a fuck up.
just because others have fucked up too, doesn't mean we aint done so.

luckily it's still on and we could get promoted.and despite saying it will be a fuck up if we dont,it will have been a decent season if we fail.
i never expected us to challenge, but when you do, it can only make you disapointed to blow it.
the next couple of weeks are going to be very interesting, and it's impossible to call.
i just hope it's us who's happy come the end of it

In any event the opposition seems to had us sussed in the last few games.

The same thing has happened in other games this season. The real concern is that Wilson doesn't seem to have plan B for when this happens, we just keep on playing the same game and getting nowhere. For that reason I'd like to see us try something different next week, maybe a 4-5-1 with Austin or Paynter up front (or even Nouble), Ward in an attacking midfield role just behind the sole striker and Marshall on the left. I reckon Ward had one of his best games playing that position against Norwich and it would be worth trying it again. Just something different from the 4-4-2 we always play.

Definitely Austin's goal, not sure he knew too much about it but he got the last touch. Pretty certain the card was for a foul on the keeper as well rather than diving.

Wilson's lack of a Plan B really does worry me! I'm going to be a nervous wreck if we end up in the play-offs, If we go behind i will fear for the worst, Teams' do have us sussed so we need to do new things and not continue to play the same way because it's not working.

I think Wilson has a plan B, although its no more than hoof it to the big black striker who is next to useless more often that not.

Also why do we keep hoofing it? We can't play that way, We are much better keeping the ball down so i don't understand hoofing it forward which we seem to be doing quite a lot lately.

Wilson needs to get a decent Plan B sorted for when we concede goals.

Fucking feel like cutting my wrists after reading a lot of that!

We are still in it due to other teams inability to win so gotta be happy surely.

The wankers that Booed today at the end don't deserve a sucessfull team to support.  2 points off 2nd and they boo, how can that possibly help the team for the next few games?  Absolute Fuckwits!

Maybe we should ask Malpas to come back so that at least there is a reason for everyone to be slitting their wrists!

Everyone laughs at WACCOE for going into meltdown, but threads like this are not much different to be honest.

Reality check anyone?

If Nouble is trying his best, he might as well give up now.

I wasn't even really considering Nouble when I said that. I was referring to the players who had been in the squad all season. I think you knew that really you young rascal. Cool

I did, it was more a chance to have a dig at Nouble.

He's awful. Pericard isnt much better either. Have we ever had a striker that was both, decent and black?

I thnk Wayne Allison was, although I probably didn't fully appreciate him until he had gone (as is quite often the case with players)

Iffy to. I cant believe i actually forgot those. All I could think of Nouble, Pericard, Fola, Trevor fucking Benjamin and Kyle Lightbourne

Not to mention Eric Sabin and Lloyd Opara.

The Chief was ace and I'm deeply dissapointed I forgot him.

The voice of reason, we have these loan players at the moment:

Ward
Darby
Sheahan
Ferry
Nouble

Almost half our outfield is on loan.  Will even two of these loan players be with us next year.  We need more non-loan players as starters. Ward and Ferry are obvious priorities, but we may not sign either of them.

The mentality we have is understandable, we don't have a board that is going to sell the best players at the earliest opportunity and will not suddenly slash the playing budget.  We have had to endure that for too many years.

So what's next?  Whether or not we gain promotion, there is going to be rebuilding, but look at where we are and where we have come from.  Before the new board and Danny arrived who could we sign, who would join Swindon, not for example Wycombe star Kevin Betsy if rumours were true.  Next season, with or without promotion  especially with more and more financial difficulties all over the divisions, players will want to sign for Swindon.  Danny and the board have broken us out of the cycle of not attracting good players to Swindon Town.

Let's look at the rest, we need a left back if Sheahan doesn't sign, we need a midfielder or two who can score.  We have prospered with Paynter, a player kept out by Revell earlier in the season, who could have been on his way to Div II from Southend.  We got Charlie (for now anyway) from non-league obviously, a once in a life time find, which only happened because Bournemouth couldn't sign him.  This isn't exactly how Southampton, Leeds, Charlton, Norwich etc. have operated.  How we got a shout of auto is incredible, since when has Div I had four former Premier League league teams in it.  Leeds United are shitting themselves following our results.

Its only just started, Swindon Town is a team that is still being put together.  The most critical part of our progress was not getting relegated last season.

Nice
