I am sure I saw something about an away club being sorted next season. Also I believe the MET Police asked for season ticket holders first.....so if any get nicked, they have your details if you give your name as they will be on the club data base.

The club won't have any say in this at all. Do you really think they would choose to possibly lose sales if ST holders don't purchase the full allocation?

It's always been like this for big games, ST Holders always get priority. The only difference is this time any remaining tickets won't go on open sale and as I previously said, that's not down to the club.

I personally think it's a pretty fair way. (But then I've got a season ticket)

i dont think anyone has a problem with season tickets getting first shout on tickets.they are rewarded for committing to the club upfront so fair enough.
but when tickets are only available to those people, it opens it up to abuse.
that's what will happen and is unjust

I don't disagree. Just think it's the police that should be getting stick, not the club(s).

My son's not going to Millwall and I'm using it to buy another ticket for someone, but at least I know he's a real supporter and goes to away games anyway. The problem is daytrippers who'll get hold of tickets at the expense of real fans who really want to go and support the team.

I think its only fair that Season ticket holders get 1st offer on tickets for games like this.  Its easy to administrate from the clubs point of view and the majority of hardcore fans are season ticket holders.

However the club could have told regular attending but non-season ticket holding fans to keep their ticket stubs for both home and away games a little while back and dish them out in bands ie 5-10 stubs 1st, 0-5 next then general sale.

I dont think the club had any say or notice until the tickets arrived. If they did I am sure they would have said to hold onto tickets, much like they did I believe for the Walsall promotion game from L2 a few years ago (or was it Rovers away)

obviosuly its irrellevant anyway as the met police are cunts.

But the same situation is going to arise for the play off semi away leg (if needed!) Apart from colchester we are likley to get a decent allocation for any of our potential opponants.

People should have their season ticket tattooed onto their arm, that'd stop them lending them out.

Just to clarify from the original post.

Quote
Just heard officially from the club that Millwall tickets are only on sale to ST holders and that they will not go on general sale if any remain

Fair point, but at what point did we all start believing that we could actually definitely get a play off place and then even get promotion?

Not disagreeing with you but the last month or so has been a bit of a roller coaster.

Plus the fact that stubs don't give the police your details, unlike a ST. Which is why they're doing it.
