This is a little pet hate of mine.
20 years ago everyone used to wear black boots. Then Predators came out and all the elite players used these. Now, even Oxford players are wearing boots of any colours of the rainbow.
I think they should make all footballers wear black boots apart from players that have won awards and they should be allowed to wear a colour of their choice for 1 match following their victory.
Its stupid that donkeys like Baz Savage wear bright green boots when they are utter gash!

So if you were a footballer you would therefore take your aggression out on the pitch with sublime performances!

Players started wearing fancy boots back in the 50's...you've only got to look at the sexy Stanley Matthews boots advertised in 50's Town progs...colour came in the 60's with George Best and Alan Ball...simple marketing..nowt wrong with it.

I'm pretty sure Frank Nouble had a pair of pink boots on in the Tranmere game.
Players should be forced to wear black boots and have floppy hair & moustaches like Don Rogers.
Players don't have moustaches any more, I can't think of one in fact.

Would you wear bright yellow boots with red socks and a white skirt? I doubt it. Bob O, I also hate all the coloured boots worn by footballers today. More pressure on parents to buy little Tommy the best, along with three different kits per season.

Alan Ball and Alan Hinton both had bright white boots, if I remember rightly.

George Best and Alan Ball were class acts. Most of the lower league players these days aren't fit to lace their boots.

ok what about a yellow top? Then yes I would wear yellow shoes - but to be honest me wearing a yellow top and shoes - a white skirt and red socks - is extremely unlikely!!!!!

Trying to lace a pair of George Best boots, taxed the dexterity of many young lad in the 60's. Today's youngsters are much more adroit at this sort of thing... Here you go....side lacing http://www.bbc.co.uk/manchester/content/images/2005/11/24/04_george_best_boot_250x300.jpg
