In all seriosness, if you're coming from bristol ignore the M4 Completely I'd suggest. Head to bath then get on the A4 to chippnum

or you could go the whole hog and avoid the m4 completely.a420

The highways agency site has live cameras all down the m4 have a look on there,my lap tops a bit slow for me to look.
I did after I'd posted, albeit on the BBC site (same cams though) hence the EDIT: bit - seems to be OK eastbound. So no panic, but I seem to have precipitated a porktastic avalanche of pig puns.
