Exciting move for the kid, goodluck to him. The most important thing for a small club like Swindon is to keep big clubs like Liverpool sweet. Especially the quality of player they would be willing to loan us if we were to get into the Championship.

We're not a small club. We beat the Champions of Europe last saturday.

I think it was the specialist goalkeeping coaching that was why we let Jamie Stephens go to Liverpool as I heard and posted on here a few weeks ago. Fitton has said that he won't stand in the way of players who want to progress/try their luck elsewhere.

I also think the reciprocal arrangement with Liverpool has mutual benefits. We get a call on players like Darby when they are prepared to let players out. I also believe that the rules around signing youngsters within a 70 mile/1 hour radius means that it's beneficial for Liverpool to tie up with a club in the South West as they get access to an area that they wouldn't otherwise be able to sign players from until they can sign pro forms. We bring them on a bit and then have the option to sell on or keep if we deem either as being right for the club

i dont think flogging a 16 year old to liverpool will have any bearing on future relations between the clubs.
it's just a bit of business,that's all.

Good luck to the fella. The good news is thatwe've got scouts sniffing after our youngsters. The fact we now seem to look after the loanees won't do any harm at all.
I think we're light years away from Spurs and their "best endeavours, tuppence hapenny and fuck you" atttitude.

Liverpool have about 4 'keepers within the age bracket that Stephens will play under. But with Jesionkowski, Smith and probably Scott taking up at least the next 2 seasons worth of reserves it's no surprise he's bailed.

Bit naive, any bit of business between any two parties creates a relationship of some sort generally.

Forgotten about that, that's really embarrassing thinking back. Spurs have gone in my black book again.

I imagine Mark Scott will leave this summer with Lucas, Smith and Jesionkowski as the three.

I am not so sure Rich, George Woods was on the radio saying how much he had come along this season and may break into the 1st team squad next year.

Callum Antel the youth team keeper has been released and is being given a trial at Yeovil and 2 other youngsters have been given trials at Exeter, not sure which of them it is though.

My mate is a puritan for his sins. Didn't realise it was Brackley - don't think Banbury like them much do they?

our history with bigger clubs would suggest otherwise
