Big shame, couldn't you have ground shared with Dorchester town?

Pretty sure every option including Dorch was explored

That is a shame.

Is there really much difference between Poole's ground and the others in that league?

Yes Langers, it's basically a school playing field. Hopefully you'll see when you come down for the friendly

This is a real shame and makes you wonder where the powers-that-be really want to place non-league football.  Cirencester Town have a nice fully-enclosed ground, purpose-built five years or so ago with great facilites (STFC have used it during the winter).  Gloucester City who play a couple of leagues higher have been ground-sharing with them since the great floods, apparently Town's ground no longer meets the rigid facilities and Glos now have to ground share with Cheltenham!

I feel genuinely sorry for Poole Town. I hope we can at least pack the place when we come down (I assume you'll keep us posted in the summer?). I don't even normally go to home friendlies, but I'll go to Poole because I want to show my appreciation for selling us you-know-who (plus we've got a rather nice pad in Bormuff).

Pooles a big place and could easily support a lge team..problem i think is an aging population who problem wouldnt want the same hassle Bournemouth get every week..it would be another day by the sea match...also could Poole and the Muff both survive in the long run being as its more or less joined at the hip,not so sure.....thats not to say Poole shouldnt have a crack at a higher level.

Thanks for your support guys, it's appreciated. As far as the friendly goes, Poole have emailed Swindon for provisional dates, so as soon as I get something more I'll let you know
