I cant believe we havnt managed to sell out our allocation yet.

Have to admit that our away support has gone majorly downhill these last few 3 seasons. I remmember we sold out this allocation about 10 days beforehand when Sturrock was in charge and that was when we were mid table in november.

Although tightening of belts has played a part, I also have to admit there is another reason. Swindon have around 150 fans either on banning orders or on bail not to attend matches and I think it is starting to take its toll. A lot of these fans also used to bring along other lads.

It was good at Southampton. But I do think the 'new ground' thing has become a bit of a curse as there are some fans who seem intent on only going to an away ground once, which is pathetic in my view, you are supposed to be a football fan, not a plastic seats and concrete fan.

If other clubs take the piss then it is deserved stick.

The Easter weekend could have something to do with it what with people "being forced" to go and visit families in different parts of the country.

I know of a certain bearded boy who would love to have gone however is still recovering from a knee operation so thats 1 down on the Town support this Saturday.

More to do with the fact we've been crap for ages i think, and also people have other commitments. I'm not going to Leeds as i've got family stuff on. That may change for people if we carry on with progression on the pitch, as the first thought may not be to go to Thorpe Park etc at Easter, but look at the fixture list first, and work around that.

Let's go for quality rather than quantity at the weekend and show the Leeds that the dick waving contest over the number of fans each club has is irrelevant. Let's create a quality atmosphere, show the throusands of dirty northern bastards packed into that stadium that we're better supporters than they are, even our support isn't so large.

The novelty thing is a bit of an odd one, it's not a novelty for me, I went for the two cup games but I've not been for any of the league games. I'm going to this one because its a bloody important game! Our support is pretty shit anyway tbh, doesn't really bother me.

There is a big cost involved going to Leeds, not only do you have the price of £20+ for a match ticket you have the fuel costs which isn't cheap and the distance as well, plus there are plenty of people out there that have to choose which games to go to due to affordability so may choose games closer as it won't cost so much.

And then there is easier bank holiday weekend where a lot of people do things as a family and do not find it as easy convincing the other half that they should be going to the game and not really seeing them until the following day.

To put it down to those on banning orders or on bail is just wrong, there is a reason these people are on banning orders or on bail  - they have done something wrong and are deemed unfit to attend a football match and likely to have been in trouble at football, so I for one am glad that they are not at games, perhaps keep them more trouble free.

When I have been to away games this season and last they have always been well attended.

Who cares, watching football is no longer the bee all and end all of life. People have other things to do.
