Oh no I thought B'Muf were getting things together, going so well on the pitch for them.

When is the deadline for the points deduction to be taken from this season's rather than rolled over to next ?

depends on whether they are mathmatically relegated i think.

WUP doesn't mean they are on the brink of admin. It can do, but as often as not these days, it's HMRC's muscle-flexing choice du jour. They like to get tough early on football clubs rather than spending 6 months dicking about with nasty letters, then issue a WUP, then the club "finds the money down the back of a sofa", so now they're issuing the WUPs early doors. It's an understandable tactic, if only to differentiate the "can't pays" from the "won't pays" (or "can't be bothered to pays") - like Southend recently, for example

Agreed, there are going to be many clubs that can't find the money so will end up in admin to stop the WUP ala Pompey

Erm, that's kind of the exact opposite of the point I was making. You're right, there will be, but it's not what I was saying

Its not a massive amount and with the team doing so well Im sure they will find it in time.

Football clubs need to get used to the fact that the tax is no longer negotiable.

They've managed to raise over 100K from advanced season ticket sales.

Unfortunately for them,it's not just a case of dealing with HMRC,which is

obviously their most pressing need, they still seem to have plenty of outstanding

debts to deal with.

Fitton wasn't wrong when he said a fair few clubs would be in trouble.

Norwich is another club rumoured to be in a lot of trouble, they are something like £25m in total debt and if they don't get promoted this season in big big trouble. This is despite gates of 25,000 every week and they've taken a big gamble on getting back up this year
