I wasn't keen on advertising this too much, but basically the Swindon fans team (same as the lot that go to WorldNet, with a few new faces) are making the trip down the A420 to play the Oxford team on Saturday morning. I believe it's the first time the Swindon fans team have had a friendly since late 2003 when we played QPR whereas the Oxford team play every week, so it'll be a tough one.

We've got a squad of 13 heading down as it stands, and I know a fair few of the guys won't last the full game or are suffering from little knocks so I'm basically asking if any on here are willing to give up their Saturday morning to give us a few extra legs. If you are interested PM me with an email address and I'll forward you the details tomorrow.

Cheers.

I'll turn out for you.

I'm goalie, in the mould of Bruce Grobbellar.

You'll be pleased to know the final score was Oxford 2-4 Swindon. I got the first for us and cut my lip open in doing so! Went into half time 3-1 up and spent most of the second half on the backfoot but due to their goalkeepers inability to be a goalkeeper we added a fourth before a penalty brought them back into it.

Should be a rematch in Swindon before May.

Nah no punch ups. One Oxford player went off injured and I got an elbow and a foot in the face before I scored the first, but that was it.
