...on Sky now.

Could do with Colchester dropping some points tonight, Southend hopefully still on a high after getting a draw against us!

...oh dear comical gillingham like defending from Southend as Barrett kicks the floor as the ball trickles in to put Colchester 1-0 up after 3 minutes.

A pretty crap game on a terrible surface.

thing that worries me is, we've still got to go there and play them on that surface.

that will fuck our game up something rotton.

How many games have we got in hand over them?

So if they win, we'll be 6 points behind with 2 games in hand...?

Colchester are pulling away from us now if this stays the same. Frustrating considering we were so close a few weeks back. It's Huddersfield, Millwall and MK we should be worrying about really.

A win tomorrow and we'll still be 3 points behind with a game in hand.

The point being the old cleché that you can only influence your own results, so there is no point in worrying about anybody elses.

I thought Southend were much the better side, but shit at the back. Hopefully it'll end in a draw.

Does it really matter?  All we need to do is finish the season with more points than the team in 7th and we'll have exceeded our expectations with a real chance in a play off lottery as a team(that despite it's late goal issue) is hard to beat.

True, the sixth place team in both our play off wins in 90 + 93 were our opponents at Wembley.

That sort of attitude will fuck things right up.

Settle for 6th now and we'll miss it. Shoot for automatic and miss it and we're in the playoffs.

Wrong.  I don't think he is asking for the players to only aim for sixth - I am sure RobertT wants the players to try and win every game.  What I think he is saying is that, as fans, lets remember the last few years and try to keep a lid on overblown expectations, and remember that if we do finish sixth, that would be a fantastic achievement this season.

Or, he is a twat.  You decide...

Its better to have the second leg at home.

I'd perfer to finish 3rd or 4th rather than 5th or 6th.

Not sure statistically but Certainly in the Championship the team that finishes 6th usually ends up getting promoted.

Anywhere in the top 6 will do me.
