Anyone know if i can get it cheapishly repaired or do i get a 2nd hand one off fleabay?

wrap a towel round it for 30 mins and it should work again...its easy to fix, plenty of videos on youtube... some guy fixed his by leaving it in the fridge for an hour soapy tit wank |

They might still repair it compo, ring microsoft and see what they say, my old one wasnt under warranty when it packed up and they sent me a refurb.

Yes 3 year warranty on the RROD. If your 360 is out of warranty then there is a place on commercial road apparently that will do it for £30.

I thought Microsoft repaired this issue no matter the age as they were aware of the fault at manufacture. I'd contact them first. Mine was nearly 2 years old when it happened, and they fixed it for me.

Mine was over 3 years old but registered it with the website and they arranged for it to be picked up and sent to Germany, couldnt fix it so sent me another one! and Free xbox live for a month!
