i'm surprised the club hasn't asked for fans to help clear the snow.tempratures are rising and there is no reason this game shouldn't go ahead.

Read somewhere they have got some snow removal equipment rented out hence why no one has been asked to help i'd imagine. Would be surprised if the game was off.

sometimes i love the adver comments...
"Why dont you get the reserves and youth team out there with some shovels and clear the snow. Thats what happened in my day. Its good fitness for them as well. Why waste money paying a contractor to do this, when the idle youngsters can do it instead of playing video games and going to the arcades all day."
ahhh, nostalgia

Surely though although temps are rising the pitch will be frozen underneath the snow, and temps have not risen for long enough yet to thaw it out, remember how cold it has been before the snow and the frosts and they can't use the pitch covers as it would ruin the grass due to not getting any light - I'd be surprised if it thawed for sat unless we hire some specialised heaters

I did a scientific test of sticking a fork into my back grass under the snow and I couldn't. On this basis, I conclude the game will be off - certainly my back lawn will not be playable by Saturday

I am also shocked, in fact i have had to sit down and have a brandy. Imagine, i mean just imagine having to ask a footballer to pick up a shovel and do some graft, OMG im faint.

no effort has been made to clear the pitch and surrounding areas so they've left it too late now i reckon. had they have cleared it today it would have been game on.2 days of rising tempratures would have had the pitch fine by saturday afternoon
