I'm not surprised Gurns got 25 - quite a few were corkers as well - I know he split opinions but I thought he was great.

It may also be an indictment on the past ten years that only 17 players got to double figures in a town shirt in that time.  Thank goodness for Parkin and Cox.

I was surprised how few some players scored. Graz and Migz have far less than i thought. I was also surprised to see Curtis Weston and Van der Linden only had one each.

On his day he was great. Powerful, strong, determined and skillful, a real leader.

And then he would also be shit for months at a time.

Wrexham?!

I thought he got a few more than that. Surprising because in L2 he was pretty good for a while.

I don't remember the opponents, but it was pulled back to him on the edge of the area in front of the Town End and he side footed it hard into the top right corner.

My memory aint what it used to be but it was against Wrexham.

We'd gone 1-0 down about 2 minutes before. Roberts got the winner with penalty I think.

You'd have to double check though.

January 13th 2007. Zaaboub netted in the 9th minute. Roberts did indeed score the winner in the 71st minute from the spot in front of 6,130 paying spectators.

Thank Paul Plowman for this information!
